IBK Kungälv was one of 47 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Sibben Cup 2020. They participated with four teams in Pojkar 13, Pojkar 14, Flickor 11 and Flickor 13 respectively. The team in Flickor 13 made it to the the Final in Slutspel Aand won it over Åsa IF by 5-1.

In addition to this, IBK Kungälv have participated in Sibben Cup before. During Sibben Cup 2019, IBK Kungälv had one team playing in Flickor 12. The team in Flickor 12 made it to the the Final in Slutspel Aand won it over Fröjereds IF by 3-0.

IBK Kungälv comes from Kungälv which lies approximately 120 km from Skövde, where Sibben Cup takes place. The area around Kungälv does also provide six additional clubs participating during Sibben Cup 2020 (Stenungsunds IBK, Ale IBF, IK Zenith, Eken IBK, Floda IBK and Kärra IBK).
